A legal disclaimer

Disclaimer: This Refund and Return Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which Good Therapy processes returns, refunds, and exchanges. Please note that certain items, due to their nature (e.g., personalized items, digital goods, or perishable food items), may be excluded from our standard return policy as noted below. This policy does not limit or replace your legal rights under consumer protection laws. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined herein.

Refund Policy - the basics

Standard Return Period: We accept returns for non-perishable and non-digital items within 30 days of the original purchase date. To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in its original packaging.

 

Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund

Non-Returnable Items: Due to the nature of these goods, the following cannot be returned or refunded unless they arrive damaged or defective:

  • Perishable Goods: (e.g., Madagascar Vanilla Beans or other food/consumable items like vanilla extract or mist). We cannot accept returns unless the product is spoiled or clearly defective upon arrival.

  • Digital Products: (e.g., Birthday Card Designs). These are final sale once the download link is accessed or sent.

  • Custom/Personalized Items: Any product made to your specific request, including Customized Scent Candles.

  • Used or Burned Candles. If you purchased a standard, un-customized scent candle and are unsatisfied, you may return it unburned and in its original packaging within the standard 30-day window for a refund (shipping costs apply).


​Un-customized Candle Returns:

Defective/Damaged Items Exception: If any item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us immediately with photographic evidence, and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

Shipping Costs

Shipping: You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund, unless the return is a result of our error (e.g., you received a wrong or defective item).

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return, please email us at goodtherapyteam@gmail.com with the subject line "Return Request – Order #[Order Number]".
In your email, please include:

  • Your Order Number

  • The Item(s) you wish to return

  • The Reason for the Return (e.g., wrong size, defective, change of mind)

  • Attach clear Photographs if the item is damaged or defective.

Do not send your purchase back to us or without first contacting us. Once we approve your return, we will provide you with the necessary instructions and return address.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, typically within 7-10 business days (depending on your bank/payment processor).

Exchanges (if applicable)

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item for the same product, please send us an email at goodtherapyteam@gmail.com. We cannot guarantee exchanges for different products due to stock fluctuations.

Late or Missing Refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund, please contact us at goodtherapyteam@gmail.com.
